Rabbi is one of the most important date cultivars of Sistan and Baluchestan Province and is one of the earliest ripening types of date in Iran. With regard to economic value, it comes after Stamaran, Shahani, Mazafati and Kabkab dates. It is cultivated in the cities of Iranshahr, Zabul, Chabahar, and Saravan. The size of this date is relatively large and its color is dark red. The time for this type to get fully ripe is almost the same as Mazafati date. Concerning the quality, Iranshahr and Zabol have the best quality Rabbi date, and in Chahbahar and Saravan its quality is good.
